So does 4-0 mean that the Argies were worse than England? At least unofficially we got 2 passed them and the end result may have been a different story (unlikely we'd have gone out on pens with Terry hitting the pigeons!!!)

We all know england were poor but my mate being a bigger football nutter than me recently watched the whole game again in sober state.
His conclusion was this,4 bad decisions went against us!
Rooney was flagged offside and clearly wasent, this led to free kick which led to goal.
england chasing the game were all over germans and scored twice as we now know.
because of disalowed goal we pushed forward deperateley looking for equaliser which of course the Germans exploited and so made the final scorline flatter them.
Germany scored four goals from six shots on target, while England mustered seven attempts on target
germans england
1st Half Goals 2 1
Shots on Target 6 7
Shots off Target 7 6
Blocked Shots 4 5
Corners 4 6
Fouls 7 6
Offsides 4 2
Yellow Cards 1 1
Red Cards 0 0
Passing Success 78.8 78.2
Tackles 22 20
Tackles Success 59.1 70
Possession 44.8 55.2
Territorial Advantage 52.6 47.4
I Still think Germany desreved victory but looking at stats and taking into account everything else we actually were not the disaster we maybe think we were!
