Just wondered if anyone here in the forum got married with out having wedding rings?
Are there any alternatives of it for the wedding ceremony?

I thought their were two essential things for a wedding ... the bride and the ring.

i agree! wedding rings are the most important thing on a wedding day after the bride of course + plus the officiating priest or pastor
A curtain ring for the kuripot ?
its not being "kuripot" Dedworth...we just both don't like to wear things like that....
where in Berkshire are you located? i've styed in Reading Berkshire last April and May.
in fairness to my fiancé, he is not kuripot. We just need to put sense on everything we spend. I've asked about it coz, I just want to know how sensible it is to spend for a wedding ring and not wearing it after the wedding. I am also not comfortable wearing a ring on my finger.
You don't even know you're wearing one after a few days.

we never had any wedding ring but always wanted up to now been 4 year on our marriage life though
but what is imp i think is you love each other..unless you more than love the amouth that was in your finger
Its down to you two whether you have a ring and whether you believe it's important - I didn't want a ring but my husband thought it was essential because of what it symbolises - the eternal circle - but why not give each other a different token that means something to you both (like your signatures on the paper!!)
I not like jewelery at all, don't even wear a watch but will wear a wedding ring for my mahal because it important to her
Each get a tattoo ... but don't put your names on them just in case

I have never been a jewellery person.
I have always shunned rings, and even watches. I would wear them for maybe a few days, and then, i just forget to put it on again, because ... well, to be honest, these trinkets have never really had worth to me.
But, I DO wear a wedding ring. It has some worth to me because it symbolises my bond with my wife, especially when we are apart.
Every time I look at my hand, even wheN i am playing guitar, I can see that token ... and it makes me think of my wife.
So for me, my wedding ring stays on and I love it.
Just don't ask me to wear any other ring or jewellery lolz
Me and the princess bought matching wedding bands from SM Dept Store , to me it tells the world how proud i am to be married and its a bond between me and the princess ....when we had our ciivil ceromany the mayor looked surprised when my best man produced the rings ...guess rind aint all that common in princess neck of the woods .
why not find a shop in the phils which as a sale on and buy some cheap rings, me and my wife only wear ours when we go out with each other, i dont even have a watch
i have learnt to do what my wife says!
It may not be as important to have rings but for me it symbolizes commitment and it serves as a reminder that we made a vows to each other. It gives me the greatest feeling that I belong to him forever
Though you do not write books, you are the writer of your life. Because everything depends on YOU.
ring does not guarantee you belong to each other only the heart knows really lol
We bought ours on a budget from a Chinaman in Quiapo..
Both rings broke about 22 years ago and that was that!
thanks for all your views, but still not decided yet to have rings or not to have one for the wedding ceremony... :-( will update you all later on. Again salamat po
