Better watch out guys ... she's maybe still in an "acting" capacity ... but if she's eventually confirmed [as seems likely] she'll be the THIRD female (that I'M aware of) to be appointed to Chief Constable rank in the UK. Two of the Scottish police forces - Fife ... and Tayside (which includes Perth ... where I live) - already have women in charge!! Changed days, huh?
... but in MY experience, it seems the incomptents are usually the ones that get "booted upstairs" with barely a slap on the wrist!!!
