    Complications

Life is a little bit complicated at the moment. Marvie spent 5 months this year in the UK with me, and has gone back to the Philippines. We had some great news that she's pregnant, but this is also complicated by the fact she has Thelasemia Trait, and is often fainting and is really weak.
She went back to the Philippines at the end of April when I went to work, and we were hoping we'd be back in the UK in July permenantly, having spent the last few years flitting between Manila and the UK. Unfortunately a few complications with her annulment for which a decision has been made and has finished months ago but the paperwork hasn't been released yet, has mean't that we won't have enough time to get a fiance visa before she hits the critical 34 weeks and can no longer fly.
We've decided to move south to Cebu and have a place in Banilad now, which she's had to be brave and sort out herself, whilst heavily pregnant despite me being away working. I was supposed to be on leave in July but have had so many complications. Now i've managed to get a week off in which i'll fly to the UK from Turkey where I am now, pickup all our remaining stuff in the UK, head onwards to Cebu and then fly back to Athens a day later as i'm needed at work for another 3 weeks :-(
Thankfully will have most of August and the whole of September off work to look after everything./
But on the whole, life is pretty stressful at the moment, with a lot of unexpected situations.

Just wanted to get it off my chest!

Ricky, sorry to hear of your predicament. Gathered things were not to smooth on the annulment situation.
As i have said earlier all these trials are for a reason and they are a test for our strength and resolve.

I m sure we will all be much happier in the end. It must be tough with being apart with Marvie's condition.

As the "Steves" have said mate you know where we all are.......

    Rgds

    Alan

Thanks Alan, and thanks for your earlier help. It's just been a long drawn out process, and whilst so close to being finished, the courts just take that little bit longer..... Wasn't too much of a problem until we found out Marvie was pregnant in January.

Sorry to read that too Ricky, I'm sure it seems tough now, but you strike me as a sensible young man and I'm sure you have the mental strength to get through it. When problems stare you in the face it's easy to let them get you down and stop thinking clearly. Try to see into the future and think about how happy you will be when it's all sorted and you are with your mahal and new baby for ever.
Good luck, we're all behind you, and when you feel down, get it off your chest on here

Hi Ricky, sorry to catch up with your news of complications.
I'm sure you know all about thalassaemia now.
(For those that don't, it's an uncommon group of inherited blood disorders causing red blood cells to contain abnormal haemoglobin - the protein that carries oxygen from the lungs to the rest of the body. There's probably only 1000 people in UK with it, but it's commoner in Asia, China, and the Philippines. Luckily Marvie has thalassaemia trait - "minor thalassaemia " - and the signs and symptoms are usually mild. The fainting and weakness which she has are due to anaemia which may require transfusion ).
All best wishes to you and Marvie

Ricky ... what can I say, that hasn't been said already?! I can only reiterate the sentiments of the other respondents to this thread, and wish you, Marvie and your - as yet - unborn child all the very best. And I hope and it won't be long before everything is more settled.

Sorry to hear about it Ricky and wish all ends well and good soon.

She can speak to the judge for an early release of her docs. Have a try. She can also speak to NSO Director for fast processing at NSO.

Hi ricky sorry to hear about whats happening at the moment but you have a great blessing coming out soon! Your little angel!
Stay strong and keep your faith in God, you'll get through this.

With regards to her annulment, if the judge's decision has now been released you should only wait less than a month for the appeal of the Solicitor General. IF, your lawyer have forwarded the decision to the Office of the Solicitor General in Makati.
You can check the office of the clerk at the court where you filed the case to check and ask them when was it forwarded to the SolGen.

Here is my email incase you have any question - khlareece28@yahoo.co.uk.
You should now have your finality by now. Ask your lawyer aswell when was it forwarded to the SolGen.

    Hope everthing goes well....
I'm a cruel and heartless bitch but I’m damn good at it!

    Hiya Ricky,

I feel very sorry about what's going on at the moment particularly Marvie's pregnancy condition. My heart goes out to her and to all the family. Through these tough times, just commit yourselves to the Lord and He will help you go through all these. Please be strong!

It's a shame that she's not in the UK as I'm sure she will be looked after here very well all through her course of pregnancy (from her prenatal to postnatal check ups). She'll be getting here all the grants she deserves but even so, as long as she follows all the GP's advice and all that back at home, she'll be alright. Life works in mysterious ways.
Taka care now & Bye!.... Venus
