Dont worry Steve your Emma is on the way soon...she will help you out with filipino food. And if you're ready for a big dinner party me and my husband will always be free to taste them all!
I'm a cruel and heartless bitch but I’m damn good at it!

    Bistek
Do you mean Bipstik? Maybe you made a a mistik!!
Bipstik in English is roughly translated to beef steak.. I think?
My favourite is gabby leaves in coconut milk served with patis/calamansi/chilli!!
I cook it better than any Visayan local!!
Best cooks in P.I are from Bicol...
Visayans don't have a clue IMO although I must admit I do enjoy their local vino!.

Hi Alan, thanks for the post. I think if you enjoy cooking anyway, it's easy to learn. Thanks for the tip about the shop. I visit Digital Depot in the Old Town quite often, so I'll check it out when I'm next there.
Anyway, it's adobo tonight. Took this shot a cpl minutes ago. The rice is already cooked

    Well, ask them!
