Do You Brits Cook Filipino Meals?

    Morning!
The meals I cook on a regular basis are Sinigang na Baboy/Hipon/Ox Tail, Adobo Baboy/Manok, Bistek, Corned Beef, Torta, Tinola. Never cooked Kare Kare for some reason. I don't know the Filipino name for it, but I fry fresh cod and pour over a couple of tins of tomatoes fried in garlic, onions, thickened with a couple of beaten eggs with added patis.

It would count as Filipino cooking if you used Skyflake Crackers instead of Graham Crackers

I can't believe to Davey how he cooks pinoy food on a regular basis. .. it would've been nice to be your neighbour. I don't need to cook mine anymore. I'm just gonna pop in to your house to eat anytime

... why don't you cater to some Filipino parties? I reckon you are even a better cook than other Filipinos who are not even bothered to touch a pan themselves.

KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK to all the Brits who do cook pinoy foods........................... A++++++

You cook all those baboy/manok/ox tail dishes in about 30 minutes if you use a pressure cooker

NO,my husband never tried or attempt to cook filipino meal for me...not becoz he doesnt like to but becoz we can't find the proper ingredients for it.
basically i want my adobo extra hot..but wheres siling labuyo?
i want sinigang na baboy but where is the kangkong?siling haba?gabi?real tamarind?
u can only do semi-filipino meals but not real filipino meals here
my hubby just cook brit meals for me like bangers&mash, roast meats, english breakfast oh and yess!!!
cant wait for him to try and cook my favorite filipino breakfast soon (dried fish, fried egg sunny side up,garlic fried rice, kamatis)hmmm yummy

Yeah, I can cook - a little. I like to have some meat and vegetables and make something out of them. Always have herbs and spices in the cupboard as you never know when you need some paprika

And I own a book on Filipino food, but I think it is a pretty bad book, no real advice and lacking in actual photographs... the downside of amazon book shopping

I do plan on learning a few dishes for Rizza, but her favorite food is southern fried chicken and rice... Guess that will be easy to figure out

Good on yer Steve - and don't wave the white flag just because you can't find the exact same ingredients as those in Phil. You can always adapt mate.

Contrary to what our female colleagues may think, the British male is is more than capable in the kitchen On and off I have lived on my own since I was 18 yrs old, and had to learn how to cook, clean, do the laundry, ironing, sewing, and all of the other household chores that women think men can't do. I don't see them as mens or womens jobs, they are just jobs that need doing, and if i don't do it, it wont get done.
Back to the topic, I keep meaning to buy myself a Filipino recipe book so that I can try out some of my favorite Filipino dishes,...... Jollibee chicken and rice

I've done all that, never bothered me either... I'd like to see the women checking the pistons on the car and rewiring the shower

Lol sounds like you're a cannibal. Why don't you just cook anyone that annoys you? then, that way you'll be in peace...

Wow! Davey, i am so impressed!
I know a few guys do cook but only english food or italian not Filipino food.
My husband? ummm... i think he can only cook fry ups in the morning. Hes lucky coz english breakfast is my favorite . The rest? I can only remember he peeled potatoes for me. HES NO GOOD IN COOKING!
Thats why i cook and he washed the dishes.
So im fine with that as long as i dont hear any winge and moan.

The food was called sarsiado ( fried fish with sauce and beaten eggs ).
I'm a cruel and heartless bitch but I’m damn good at it!
