Dont worry about going wireless,you just password protect it,it's as easy as that. when I fix peoples pc's i sometimes use my neighbours unsecured wireless router just to test for a connection

Many people go wireless and it shows up as unsecured so you can connect,but if when you set up all you do is create a secure connection with a password then no-body is going to be able to use you internet.
