How would this work for getting a tourist visa?

Myself and my gf don't plan to marry for a few years yet, but in the meantime we'd like her to come here for a visit. My situation is that I'm renting property, and currently starting my own business (online based), and she will work for the company. I've read the requirements about proving sufficient funds, showing you have reason to return after the visa expires etc, but I'm starting to think this will may go against us, and that it will come across as a scam just to get her into the country.

Anybody had or heard of a similar situation where couples have achieved this?

Let your girlfriend run the finances on your online base business if it can be run in the Philippines and apply for a toruist visa in the UK if u want her to visit ...
easy,... all you be needing is a complete trust that she may run it accordingly and she got property,her own online business and u supporting her trip over there in the uk.

The only issue I could see with an Online business is that it can be run in theory from anywhere so there is a chance an ECO might think there is no reason to return if the work could wholesale move to the UK. So would need to stress that the business needed to be run from Phill.. Also if she comes over for lets say six months how will the business operate while she is on Holiday?
