... well, obviously a good, basic command of English helps. But from this - and several other of your posts - YOUR own fluency seems to be perfectly adequate for the purpose.
I would suggest you obtain a copy of the official Home Office publication 'Life in the UK' 2007 (2nd Edition) and
thoroughly from cover to cover; also buy yourself the companion booklet containing practice test questions and answers. Good Luck!
