Amazon Kindle

Anyone own or used an Amazon Kindle? Just wondering if it's worth buying the new free 3G/wifi one, as you can download books in most countries on the planet at no cost (well apart from the price of the book).

While reading an 850 book in the bath the pages get wet as my arms collapse under the weight

although its cheaper than the ipad its a one trick pony

if i wanted a digital book reader then i would consider the ipad also

also Amazon seem to be using strong arm tactics with the publishing houses

Ipads crap, and heavy, I can read eBooks on my pda (which does more than the Ipad and is 2 years old!) & laptop if I want, but I need something small, and light I can hold.

All big companies use strong arm tactics, doesn't stop you buying fruit, milk & veg from the supermarkets when the farmers are going bust.
