never had any trouble with visa myselfExcept when it was maxed out
i don't think there is much difference, but i hardly ever use my mastercard and always use my visa card

Good point Arthur, with some banks its actually worth notifying them before you leave that you'll be using the card abroad. When I was with Barclays a few years ago they put a stop on my card after the first withdrawal.

thats why i try and always pay with cash, even in the UK i hardly ever use me cards, only really thru pay pal.
