but the embassy can say there is nothing stopping his parents or him going to visit you in the phils, i'm sure they mentioned this in your refusal ?

No they failed to mention that on the refusal either, as his parents are old and frail. He put that on the appeal letter though. The embassy sure knows that he has been here back and forth. He has been here 4x this year alone. Hope they will consider as my hubby is back to teaching and won't be here till xmas break which is frustrating as we want to be together before he moves here permanently.

    hello purple!!

did u provide an employment letter with proper letterhead and seal with it when u file for an appeal?
am sure the ECO is educated about how life is in the Philippines(everything can be repair, fix and can be fake)..thats why birth cert.marriage license, annulment ,recognition of divorce now shld be in NSO paper.
Anyway, appeal processing can take ages ,..why not process a new visit visa after 6months?? if u really want to meet the family the soonest time before your hubby settles in the philippines with u

It is not me who is anxious to meet his family. It is him and his family and doesn't want to fly out here because of recent killings etc. the media made honest about my country. My line of work is home based and my boss is in Connecticut. I wonder if my husband calling the embassy will influence the visa.

Sorry about the job, Tony ... but from what you told us at the beginning of this thread, it doesn't seem to have been the healthiest of working environments. So maybe it's not such a bad thing that you're no longer there!

Just keep looking for something more suited to your skills. Remember, too, that you're a really nice guy and you deserve better! And you're right, you are, indeed, among good friends on this forum.
