does my husband need to send me bank account statements and mortgage statements

Please, I find this so confusing. I married my English Husband in Aug 09 and I want to apply for my visa to become his wife in the UK.
Does my husband send me all his bank statements and mortgage deeds and statements and other documents visa people need or do they contact him and ask him to send them directly to them. Its confusing because how I read it I have to take all the documents when I apply but my husband is concerned about sending banking details via post. Please can someone help or advise me

Yes he needs to send them to you as you need his original documents when you submit your application.

I submitted 8 months of bank statements and wage slips .
