Consumers face higher overseas card charges

The only reason i went with Nationwide was because of their zero charges when using your card abroad

Doesn't bother me the charges, I accept it as a for the convenience it supplies me with when on holiday.

Evil banks. With my HSBC Advance I pay 8 pound a month and get free withdrawals at 2.5% below bank rate (the same as the Canton / FairFX cards). This is acceptable, but would prefer better!

Was thinking the same thing...When I go over, I'll send money online through PNB, then we'll withdraw the money from her account.
