FLOURIDE in Birminghams tap water??? FLOURIDE is practically POISEN!! :-O

It's rumoured that the tap water in Birmingham has got FLOURIDE added to it!!! They say it helps poor familys have good teeth! That's outrageous if it is true!! Flouride messes up the pineal gland in your brain!
The people of Birmingham can't afford to buy bottled water! That's outrageous!!

Can anyone confirm if this outrage is true or not?

For those of you who are still using toothepaste with flouride in it, STOP! I'm serious, STOP!

I'm not claiming fluoride causes death, but it absolutely messes up your pineal gland I'm certain of that! Our pineal gland is important!

Fluoride occurs naturally in the body as calcium fluoride, found primarily in the bones and teeth, Very small amounts are also in the air we breathe, Natural fluoride is present in the ocean as sodium fluoride, so most seafood contains some form of fluoride. Tea and gelatin also contain fluoride.

The pineal gland (also called the "third eye") is less than a centimetre in size and produces melatonin which regulates sleep patterns. Melatonin has been tried for jet lag, but it's not licensed as a medicine in the UK, results are mixed, and its long term effects are unknown. The gland does accumulate fluoride, but it's only been shown to "mess up" melatonin production in animals, any effect being as yet unknown in humans.

No, because lobotomy only means cutting connections between one part of the brain (in the frontal lobe) and the rest of the brain, and is not often done nowadays. Lobectomy means partial removal of a lobe, for epilepsy or tumour, and of course adjacent parts of the brain could be damaged. The pineal gland itself can form a cyst or malignant tumour requiring surgery, one very very rare cause of headache.
Damage to the pineal by fluoride is unproven in humans. Damage may be inevitable in brain surgery. But the most serious cause of damage is a tumour, fortunately rare.
