Rosie, I'm sorry to hear about your brother's partner and son have already moved on and stopped visiting. Your brother is lucky to have you as a sister. I really admire your love and care with your brother. I wish both you and your brother all the best.

Rosie ... I am so, so sorry to read that your brother's partner and one of their four sons no longer visit him.
Whilst it may be understandable in the sense that the nature of his illness has caused normal verbal communication between them to be difficult - if not impossible - it doesn't make their parting of the ways any easier ... or any the less sad.
Oh ... how I wish the stringent Immigration Rules could be relaxed in some way in order to cater for circumstances that would allow your three other nephews to visit their father ... it seems especially unfair that they can't.
Hopefully ALL who've read your brother's story will take heed of the moral it contains ... and I thank God he has a deeply devoted sister like your goodself.
Arthur sentiments exactly.....
Rosie welcome to the silver star club.....
Thank you so much Michael, Rayna, Arthur and Mark for your kind words and thoughtfulness. I am hoping that when my nephews become older, it might be easier to organise a visa.
I also feel privileged to have reached my first silver star, thank you for the reps!
Btw, the 3 sons of your brother, don't they have British passports?

Thank you, Rosie, for being the lovely person you are ... as well as for your kindness and unfailing loyalty.
This is a truly amazing thread!
You never cease to amaze me Rosie!
Thanks Fred and Admin for the rep.
I have driven the 80 mile round trip to visit my brother every week, since he arrived back here in UK in 2010. Family is so important to me and I value what very little left, especially my younger brother. He has been good to me in the past and despite living abroad for 25 years, our bond has always remained close.
God bless him
What an incredible story and what an incredible big sister.
Continue supporting your brother, as i'm sure it really means a lot to him.
Rosie, it's hard to imagine how it started out 4 years ago and even harder to realise the outcome so far along that journey.
Reading back it's easy to see what an inspiration you've been and remain.
Personally I'd always expected a better outcome but knowing you a little over those 4 years who can say what lies ahead.
It's really a credit to you for maintaining a loving family contact through thick and thin ......I'm 100% convinced it makes a difference in so many ways.
Thank you so much Jake and Terpe for your very kind words
My brother is very vulnerable and he only has me to support him. Blood is thicker than water and I will never desert him.
Five years today since my much loved brother was taken ill and sustained brain damage.
I'm currently working on visitors visa applications for his two eldest sons to visit him here in UK as they haven't seen their dad since 2010 when they were 12 and 14 respectively (now 17 and 19). If successful, they will be staying with me over the Christmas period and I will be taking them to see him regularly
Wishing you the best of luck with the visas Rosie.
Iv only just caught up with this thread, and your Brother is blessed to have a sister such as you Rosie, if anyone deserves a decent break its you two, and if there is any justice in this world you will be succesful with the visa applications. When i read of your loyalty to your younger brother it makes me feel very humble when there are people like you around, if there was any small way that i could help, i would be only to happy to, and i say that with the greatest sincerity, good luck for the future to all of your family.
Hoping all goes well in your plan, to see his children would be great.
Mick.
All best wishes for your plans, Rosie .
Great idea Rosie, good luck with your plan and please keep us posted.
You may want to mention this thread in a cover letter with the visa.
