Yes, you will still need Schengen visa.
Take a look at the French Embassy site to review the documentations needed and how to make your application. I believe there have been some changes recently (thank goodness!)
When my wife first applied you needed to book an appointment and queue up outside the Embassy with the other 100 people who all had the same appoinment time
Hopefully the changes will be for the better.
