follow the guidelines, evidence of a genuine relationship, he reallys needs to be working, have some savings £2000-3000, and a place for you to live without over crowding, and you've a 90%+ chance of getting your visa.

not many fiancee or spouse visa are refused

Me and my fiance John starting a great relationship since Nov. 7,2009. At that time we communicate thru msn, email, and thru text via cellphone and phone calls. But while he is in UK at that time we talked already about marriage. Then after that we both decided to meet personaly here in Phils. He visit me here in Phils. on June 16,2010 and then he meet my family. We are planning to get married a civil wedding next year between June or July 2011 here in phils. We keep sorted out the papers for spousal visa but sometimes we are both worried for applying spousal visa bcoz it might be refused. We need more good advice and what is the best things to do so that when the time we are applying for spousal visa it might be flawless. Me and my fiance John hoping this site will give more help us and those couple who already have an experience for applying a spousal visa pls share ur experience regarding a spousal visa. Thanks and more power....GOD Bless to everyone....maricris and John
Hello Maricris...i think all you need to do is to follow what is needed for the application. You can search some info online about UK spousal visa or search some threads here in the forum that talks about it. I think there's one thread here just recently, that talks on how to compile all your documents that will be submitted to the VFS. Goodluck to you and to your fiance. I'll be applying a spouse visa too first quarter next year. We'll just keep our fingers cross and never stop praying. Good luck to both us.

It will be up to both of you i think. But in my case, we will not resort to that, it will just be another expense. The information that you will have here in the forum and in the UK Embassy (Home Office) website will be enough to gather all the documents needed. My visit visa before was granted because of the information i got from here and the home office website. Good Luck and God bless!

As long as you followed and complied with the requirements for the spouse visa you will be OK. The concern of immigration concerning your relationship is that it must be genuine. Normally no problem for genuine couples.
Although they say age-gap is irrelevant, just see how deeply they will review if you are
over 70 and your wife is under 30

    Tut tut...definitely ageism methinks...unless you're a billionaire, Hollywood star,etc.

Surely illegal in the UK ?

    Fortunately I'm only 39, but in a 59 year-old's body.

you need to download the checklist of documents(settlement to join spouse) before u submit ur visa application in this link http://www.vfs-uk-ph.com/checklist.aspx ... and about your question on sufficient evidence like letters,,, On part 6 of the checklist it says ''Evidence that u and ur sponsor have remained in contact during the sponsor's absences from Philippines telephone bills, copies of emails and personal letters, may help to show this...''Pls note that u are not legally obliged to provide such correspondence, however,it may assist the ECO in reaching a decision on ur application

I would have said yes, as it is the same as written evidence.

Has anyone else used this ?

A good director creates an environment, which gives the actor the encouragement to fly.

You could always check with the Foreign Office visa section for up to date info'.

You won't believe this, but my brother used to head up that section...worldwide boss. Not anymore though....so please don't ask.
