Haha! I knew the terrain was bad for building roads, but I didn't realise we had so many ridges. I've only flown to/from Naga a couple of times, but I was too young to remember what it looked like. My family tends to take the trip to/from Manila as one long road trip. We pack sandwiches, books and cold drinks, and leave in the morning so we can be at our destination in time for dinner. I'm guessing though, when you drove 'pre-highway', it wasn't as enjoyable as what I remember.
