A former barrister has today (Monday 25 October) been jailed for 8.5 years for his role in a massive immigration scam that netted millions of pounds.

36-year-old Syed Ahmed of Havelock Terrace, Sunderland was 1 of 5 people involved in running a bogus college and corrupt immigration advisory firm in London. The gang were all arrested after an investigation by our London immigration crime team.

I had experience of a couple of lawyers who signed documents which resulted in British Passports being issued, by Passport Office, contrary to the law. They got fined. I don't know if they went back to their home land, Nigeria.
