LOL, I don't know about self hypnosis when you're panicking and looking for keys, but I do believe in hypnosis. One of my favourite Jesuits in the PI is Fr. Bulatao. He's a well-known hypnotist and he was the head of the Ateneo de Manila Psychology Department (retired now). It still gives me the heebie-jeebies thinking of the things he did during a talk I attended. Really cool, but hard to believe it was a priest doing it.Then again, the Jesuits are pretty open about things other priests would scoff at.
