I voted No Nigel I actually pressed the wrong button, but it's been counted now

Keep up the great posts Nigel, they are always very amusing and make me chuckle

TBH, I agree with some of the psychology stuff you have posted, I've spent the last 20 years in the sales industry and have read a lot about psychology and the law of attraction...etc. Whatever the mind of man can perceive, he can achieve...etc. Lots of good stuff from Antony Robbins, Paul McKenna, Brian Tracey, Dale Carnegie, Zig Ziglar....etc............but I'm still not convinced we are all jellyfish

Napoleon Hills book...Think & grow rich, is very 'law of attraction'. Try reading that one Nigel.

Despite joining in the fun of the threads.
    I Voted NO

Why? You may be suprised and maybe interested.

    I did some research

    nigel is not a looney.

    Just enthusiastic.

The 'holographic universe' is a coined term to describe a potential structure of the universe.

The book by Michael Talbot, mentioned in this thread is a writing based upon the theories and the work of physicist David Bohm and neurophysiologist Karl Pribram.

    The basic principles are here:

    http://www.crystalinks.com/holographic.html

Latest news on the research here:-

    http://www.sciencedaily.com/releases...0203130708.htm

It's not a philosophical issue as such. It's really all about Gravitational Physics and how to bring together quantum mechanics and Einstein's theory of gravity.

It's actually impossible to prove one way or another but there is plenty of money and plenty of research big brains involved in an attempt to realise Einstein's dream of combining the laws of the universe in one theory.

    Interesting Stuff! For some.

Now I'm amazed that one didn't start a war boss

Anyway I couldn't vote in this poll as I am in a superposition of quantum states where both answers are true and false at the same time

I voted that he is a looney, only because the other answer was even more ludicrous

He seems a nice bloke, a bit off the wall at times, but always interesting.

A sort of bloke to have a chat in the pub, although I don't drink anymore as I'm too busy with work and family.

A common assumption in the philosophy of mind is that of substrate-independence. The idea is that mental states can supervene on any of a broad class of physical substrates. Provided a system implements the right sort of computational structures and processes, it can be associated with conscious experiences. It is nor an essential property of consciousness that it is implemented on carbon-based biological neural networks inside a cranium: silicon-based processors inside a computer could in principle do the trick as well.

    What more can one say?

I think the reptilian theory has derived from the missing link in evolution...I am NOT a believer in the theory! I am NOT!

But this vid convinced me that the thinking is not all that silly..
