    visa arrival date

    my wifes spouse visa date is valid from 6 october as we wer going to leave philippines on nov 5 but we want to stay until march next year to sale are house. would ther be any problem with going uk then, afterwe put nov 5 on application. also are application only took 1 day that must be a record.

    i think we have had 1 day b4, but even still thats news

    should be no problem coming to the uk, but your wife should have a visa valid for 27 months, but to apply for ILR your wife basically needs to be in the uk 23 months..

    but you plan to stay til march, thats 6 months, 27months - 6 months = 21 months your wife would be in the uk b4 her visa expired..

    so basically your wife would probably have to apply for FLR before she could apply for ILR. (extension to her visa, so untils shes been in the uk at least 23 months, or they could extend it for 2yrs.. )

    so it will cost you about £450 more and a bit of form filling (similar to the spouse visa)

    thanks 4 the info joe. i think it would be better we come back in january.and we were shocked wen the visa was ready after 1day. and yes her visa is for 27months.thanks again for the info

    well just make sure your wife is in the uk,
    2yrs - (upto 28 days) before her visa expires.

    or you might have to apply for FLR
