Joe was a keen boatsman, and he owned this battered old boat his whole life! One day he rented out his boat to a group of tourists who sank it. Joe had to spend a long time with paperwork, during which time his wife died without him knowing!
On his way home he bumps into a kindly woman who says "I'm so sorry to hear of your loss, I hope your not too sad."
And Joe, thinking she was talking about his boat said: "I'm glad to be rid of her! She had a shrivelled bottom and an ugly crack, she stank of fish and had a huge hole! So I rented her to tourists, they all got in her at the same time and I guess that's what finished her off!"
The kindly woman fainted.
