Jane ... if you already have ILR, it means you've *passed the 'Life in the UK Test'. And *that being the case, you will NOT require to take ANY of the newly-devised ESOL examinations prior to applying for British Citizenship ... since the "Life" Test is of a higher standard ... and is, moreover, recognised - at this point in time - as being the first step towards becoming a citizen of the United Kingdom.
