Need some advice regarding passports???

Hi everyone,

It's been a long time since I have been here. Hope you are all well.

Anyway, I have a query regarding my passport. I have just got married last month. I am trying to renew my passport and change it to my married name. I have found out just now that it takes a long time to process a new passport and also with my circumstance that I am already married. They wanted me to attend a CFO seminar as a requirement.

My question goes like this, am i allowed to use my old passport with my single name in it but is expiring at the end of next year? As I have read, for the spouse visa, you are allowed to stay in the UK for 2 years. If I would renew my passport whilst im in the UK already, will it affect my visa? What will happen to my visa stamp?

yes you can ammend your passport whilst here in the UK (Philippine Embassy in the United Kingdom at 6 Suffolk Street, London, SW1Y 4HG)

and will not have a problem with the visa as long as you got the original supporting documents with you like marriage license,birth certificate.
