    Applying for Visa

    hello everyone

Im jeane from Phil..I just got newly wed to a british man last nov, 20,2010..and we will have our baby soon because im nearly 1 month pregnant..Its hard for both of us to be not together..At this point in time, he searching for new job.. He saves money now for my Visa and ticket. I just would like to ask if there will be a problem in applying a visa if im already pregnant?we plan to apply about 4-5 months from now as soon as my husband got a job this month or next month...Until what months of pregnant women are allow to travel by plane?..What will be the best thing for us to do?..My husband wants me to give birth to UK but if it happen that the visa will not be granted and our baby will be born here in Philippines, we will re -apply again for spouse visa and visa for my baby as well/?.
hope you can help us with this matter..Thank you and God bless everyone./

    Hi jeanelovedeano,

get the paper works that is asked for you to submit for spouse.
    check the vfs website.

you are allowed to travel until 35 weeks of pregnancy, when you have your doctor's permission (certificate) that you are okay to travel.

go to this website http://vfs-ph-uk.com or you can use the search button.
there are plenty of threads here that will answer your question. keywords like spouse visa.

on that website I mentioned read it through, everything that you asked will have an official answered from vfs since it is the official agency that UK border agency is working with.

there must be new immigration laws by now so you better check the website.

I applied last 09 nov. 2010 but will still take the life in the uk test when I apply for ILR in the UK.

congratulations on your first baby and wedding.

yes I think you need to pay those immigration consultants.. it is their service of asking you what to put in your application. in the end, you will pay and go to vfs yourself. so doing the search here, will help you get away big costs for immigration consultants. there's been a lot of people who got their visas successfully through this forum.

do read the vfs website.. it is very helpful too.
you can use the search button here for spouse visa and you will know what are the requirements you need to put with your application.

    good luck on your application

Forget the intermediaries, Jeanne! Instead ... read the highly recommended thread: 'Applying for a Fiancee or Spouse Visa - A Quick Guide' dated September 2 and compiled by RickyR, one of our Trusted Members. It will tell you all you need to know.

In the light of your exciting news, it's probably best you proceed as soon as possible; congratulations to you and Deano, take care ... and goodluck with your visa application.

    Question about english test

thank you arthur and purple for the message ..I am grateful that you are very supportive to us guys ..I heard about the english test before applying application and as I search about it.It says that if you graduated with degree in a University that is all taught all in English, just ask for a certification from a school and showed during submission of visa application..( just correct me if Im wrong about this information..sorry was not able to save the link..I cant hardly to find it now.:-( .) ..I just would like to ask if a certification from a school will be guarantee as evidence that you need not to take an english test before applying visa?anyone already had tried this?

hi everyone.i married a british man last year.im pregnant now nearly 3 months .and it happen that my husband haven't got yet savings in the bank worth 2K because of the expenses we had in our wedding and spent his fare going here in pHILIPpines..my husband wants me to be in UK before i will give birth to our baby..will it be against us if we apply a spouse visa even my husband doesnt have enough savings? do i have to mention in the application/letter that i am pregnant if we apply for a visa?..

also,i just would like to ask if it happen that if we apply a visa after my birth to our baby here in Philippines, will it be against us? cause my husband got only a minimum wage salary in the UK..dont know if the ECO will consider it knowing that except me, he have a baby already to support as well.how much is the required amount savings needed to see by the ECO if we apply the visa if theres a baby already?.
its hard for us not to be together..its very painful that we are apart from each other specially that were having a baby soon.
i am happy to hear for your response..i will appreciate your advise..

    thank you and Godbless..

    Hi Jeane,
Have your baby's birth certificate to be registered in the UK as well, let your hubby do it and maybe he can proceed of getting a british passport!...I got the same story, the only difference is our daughter was born in the UK, thus we got her birth registered at the Philippine Embassy in London then we just waited for it to come through to the NSO system, we then applied her the Philippine passport. Now she holds dual citizenship!

No need for a DNA test, for as long as you submit the birth certificate with the copy of your passports then should be ok!..My hubby went to the immigration office in London alone for our daughter's british passport, after a week we received it...
