Well as a father (and now a single parent), I would also like to point out that both parents SHOULD have equal rights and responsibilities.

If this was accepted by both parties from the start, and recognised as such in law, there would be far fewer children suffering mentally as a result of the stupidity and irresponsibility of adults who have chosen to bring another human being into the world...or more than one.
