Hello Everyone,

I would like to ask about something. I received my passport with visa on 4th December the validity date starts on 2nd of December i already have my seminar and sticker stamped but i don't have a ticket yet. Is it ok if i don't use my visa till 15th of January because i want to celebrate x-mas and new year here in the Philippines. By the way my visa is Fiance Settlement 6 months only. Will they question me for not using my visa right away? Pls advice me..

That should be the start of validity of visa kamikila which is the same as mine and perfectly fine. I am flying out on 15th Jan.. so your visa that should be ok.

What is your visa? Is it the same as mine? My partner said that it would be better if i get KLM airlines and that is in Manila so i'll get a ticket from Davao to Manila. Also, do you have a ticket already? How much is it?

Yup got the ticket already.
Flying out here in Cebu on 15 Jan with Qatar Airways. Ticket was $750.
I got spouse visa.

Mine is Fiance visa and i only have 6 months to prepare everything..my partner said it would be best if we book a flight after holidays but i think there's no difference coz January is also a peak season. Just worried coz if we book a flight on January 15th then the 1 month of 6 months is already wasted init?

The fares by January is trending everyday. Just the day before my visa arrived, we were looking at the flights and it was 850$ and the next day it was down to 750$.. so we booked it right away before it gets to $1000 or over.

Nov-March is peak season. So the global distribution system of the flights and its fares trends and usually $200 more expensive. You can get away for cheaper flights but there will be long and uncomfortable long lay overs which for sure you don't want on your first long trip.

hi kamikilla,

if youre worried about the days you will waste for the 6mos visa, you can phone the embassy and ask them to ammend the date of effectivity of your visa to the date that you wanted to leave PI..
