This forum was a much happier place to visit before one member joined and started to continually post depressing news all the time

Some of us like being depressed and trying to remember what an organism is.

A cars section would be good

Rather than the travel tips heading, break it up into sub headings (health advice for travellers, flight tips, insurance advice, places to stay or visit, advice for other SE Asian countries, any other travel tips or advice)

Sport section should be split into 2 sub sections, one for football and another for all other sports
I fully agree with the members only area

Not necessary....we already raid all the existing sections , bringing to them our own special cocktail of misery , frustration , anger , nostalgia and self-righteous wisdom.

I think we would be excluded, grumpy old man syndrome officially begins at the age of 46 years old, neither of us are old enough to join

Sometimes you're flush and sometimes you're bust, and when you're up, it's never as good as it seems, and when you're down, you never think you'll be up again. But life goes on.
The beauty of a woman is not in the clothes she wears, the figure that she carries, or the way she combs her hair. The beauty of a woman is seen in her eyes, because that is the doorway to her heart, the place where love resides. True beauty in a woman is reflected in her soul. It's the passion that she shows to the outside world.

Members Only Section - No. The forum is for information to be shared, that is the whole idea I set it up. Plus we already have a hierachy membership The more you are trusted the more 'extras' you get

I come to the forums here and search for advice when i need it. I would like to "give back" but the people on here have already done everything I`m currently trying to do. We very much appreciate your help. But don`t have much to add. You`ve been there, done that and got the family.
A 'members only/frequent posters' area would be good for the community here. But any advice/stories/information should be made public.
About all I can add to many topics here is salamat.

btw. Can anyone tell me the practical difference between left/right wing

All of your experiences are relevant to the forum, so please post them.
Many may have gone through the whole process, but the rules are constantly changing. We need fresh blood, think of the person just starting out? You being that bit further down the line, may have the advice they are looking for, all current & fresh.
There's plenty you can "give back."

In simple terms, rightwing is about money/keeping the majority of people poor in wage salvery, left wing is about co-operation and a more equal distributon of wealth.

Before anybody says it is aboyut everybody being exactly the same, it is not, that is just a myth peddled by the right wing to smear left wing views.

Russia was not socialist it was state capitalist, ie right wing.

They say you become more right-wing, the older you get, so I'm guessing most of the membership here are ancient.

    Category

I would really like to see a category "Living In The Philippines".

There must be so much good advice out there for any of us who are planning to live there one day.
This advice could be very useful for people planning to stay for some months.
