He captained his country and is married to a former pop star. He is at ease dealing with world leaders and show business megastars.

The other has a spread on Saddleworth Moor with planning issues over a proposed Telletubby type development, has lost both his place in the team and job as Fergies lap dog, struggles to grow a proper moustache and is the most reviled player in the Premier League. He played for his country a number of times but never knew the words of the national anthem, he married a check out girl from the Bury CoOp

I'm not much of a football fan, but have been a closet Utd fan since the 1977 Cup Final, and have to say Gary Neville and David Beckham linking on the right hand side of the pitch was a key partnership in a pretty formidable team, the honours they won between 1996 and 2003 speaks for itself.
Gary Neville has been a great player for Utd, i think he unfairly gets stick for his brothers inability.
All in all, the youth players who came to the fore in the early/mid 90's is a pretty impressive list, even the ones who went on to other clubs after falling out with Fergie.
Liverpool, Chelsea and Arsenal fans may mock Utd, but no other team has come close to their level of success over the last 20 years.
