hotels in tacloban

merry christmas everyone

anyone have any upto date info about good hotels to stay at in tacloban.

i know about macarthur and leyte resort but they are a bit more expensive

reveiws i have searched on net are misleading because one week someone stay somewhere and rate hotel high next week someone hate it.

so any decent safe clean hotels in tacloban?????????

I was looking earlier in the year, all of the reviews I found said that the Hotel Alejandro was about the best in town, but none were that great. I didn't go to Tacloban in the end, so can't say how accurate the reviews were.
Prices for the best rooms were about 1800 Php a night

how long you planning on staying there? there are apartments you can rent tacloban vacation apartments its cheaper the longer you stay. hotel D'angelo &asia stars are supposed to be good. first time i went i rented two bedroom apartment for 7k a month in san jose only basic furniture but its safe area.

I have stayed in Leyte Park Hotel D'Angelo and Hotel Alejandro.

Leyte Park is expensive and seems a bit run down. The very big rat i saw running down the corridor by my room wasnt complaining though!
Hotel Alejandro seems very pleasant but the room i stayed in on the ground floor was like being in a dungeon. By far the best i thought and the cheapest was Hotel d'Angelo.
