I was based in Honkers for four and a half years, the majority of my mates married either pinays or thais because they were abundant, and everywhere, its always better to have a massive choice of real life women than be limited to online dating sites,I even met a few girlfriends parents when I used to pop over to Manila(returns from honkers were cheap as chips).I also used to date Thais, indos, few chinese and an australianBut yeah,Honkers was a great place to meet ladies

Sometimes you're flush and sometimes you're bust, and when you're up, it's never as good as it seems, and when you're down, you never think you'll be up again. But life goes on.
The beauty of a woman is not in the clothes she wears, the figure that she carries, or the way she combs her hair. The beauty of a woman is seen in her eyes, because that is the doorway to her heart, the place where love resides. True beauty in a woman is reflected in her soul. It's the passion that she shows to the outside world.
Absolutely. Hard to get a work gig in HK these days though. Unless you get sent out by your employers at home, the only option is English teaching. Which is what I did (and might yet do again). Funnily enough, plenty of Filipinos have taken over a lot of the bar and shop work that used to be done by expats. How that works with the visa situation, I don't know.
Yes, they would need a visa to work but Hong Kong immigration law is quite strict. The employer usually has to show they've tried and not been able to recruit a Hong Kong native or prove that the worker has some sort of special skill. Which doesn't really apply to bar and shop work. And unemployment is still relatively high in HK. I would guess a lot of it is cash in hand and off the books and such workers are easier to recruit among the (possibly terminated) domestic helpers already in HK.
