We used to pop in on the way home from the pub on Xmas eve as teenagers...I went to Holy Communion/ Midnight Mass on Christmas Eve and my village church was packed.
No idea why but perhaps in our own way we felt we were taking part in the community Christmas spirit..
From memory,I think the record over 3 years was 16 minutes before being kicked out physically by the Priest and his aides.. We always kept trying though!!
