Yes seems he was a good guy.
Yes a great shame, and awful for his family.
I worry about my son when he's out and about on his pushbike, perhaps because I was knocked off mine and seriously injured when I was 16.
Also my first fiancee was knocked off a motorcycle and killed.
I wouldn't like to ride a pushbike around today - too dangerous. But saying that, there are some cyclists who have no road sense whatsoever and are a law unto themselves.
It's always extremely sad when someone dies prematurely - and at 48, a person is still in his/her prime - even worse when it happens as the result of an accident! Could it have been avoided? So many "if onlys ... "
