I had an uncle who retired to Worthing, as a family, we spent many a summer holiday there. A wonderful place to live, Lucky Purple! Good luck to your new life.

Welcome Rohany I hope you got my weather update on YM when you were in Doha I think you'll find Cebu is slightly warmer.
Enjoy your stay here, and I hope you like Britain. Despite the climate, it is still a beautiful country, and hopefully you'll love your second home

    Hi guys,

Thanks so much for the welcome specially to Nigel.
My hubby almost lost me there at the airport thinking that the UKBA did not let me get through and had me paged instead. People at UKBA were helpful and all showing me around because of a worried husband waiting at the arrival after getting the luggage.

Funny though, seems like it is my husband who is adjusting to the cold weather and time zones.

It wasn't bad as I though it would be. No jet lags and all that. Slept ok, except for hubby waking up in the night because still adjusting and all that. Took me out running yesterday morning around 6am while it was raining which wasn't bad.

Did get to see the town in worthing which hubby promised only 5 minutes away and liked it. Not yet homesick. Even though I've been told back home how horrible the cold weather can be, but lucky I think coz it wasn't too bad at all.

Thanks by the way Nigel. I was telling hubby I wouldn't go out at all and will just stay in the house but Worthing isn't that bad.... just like the weather in Baguio City, Benguet... I know it's not like the one's in Boracay. I wish!

Doc Alan: hubby still thinking of taking me scuba diving in Worthing Seas... I'll see who can manage well. he he

To everyone: thanks a lot. Will keep you posted whenever I feel like going back to Phils.

I am only writing this because hubby is up at around 1am ish... telling me about this thread as I haven't checked it since we got back as busy showing me around and shopping. Hubby making sure I won't get lost as I don't have sense of direction.. being a woman and all that. But I'm sure I can find my way around in 3 months

Hopefully in few days time my husband will get back to his normal sleeping time. Off to sleep now again.
    Life as we make it
