hi jimeve...a bag of cement is 230 pesos or about 5 USD...........construction is booming again......both residential and commercial........housing loans are at around 8% interest....the banks have money to lend.......and are looking for people to lend it to.....ha ha ha.....minimum wage is now 404 pesos per day, up from 382 pesos a few months back.......a few years back government removed taxation from minimum wage earners.....this would have increased consumption as taxes saved by minimum wage earners would definitely be spent.....beneficiaries of this would probably be the food sector.....oh well you just asked me about the bag of cement and here i go on and on...
