yes many degrees in the phils are equivalent to a Higher diploma, i think mainy due to the number of years/hours of study taken to gain the degree is less than what someone in the uk would study..
but it doesn't mean she has to give up studying in the uk (thou until she has had ILR i think its 1yr, she would have to pay international fees)
