Hi all again.
I need some advice as to which visitor visa to apply for. situation is.
Wife is only 20, not 21 till Sept and we need to move back to the UK within the next 4 weeks or so.
We have been married since Dec 09 and we have a son (nearly one now) son has a british passport
We are currently living in Brunei, (i have a work visa here and she has a dependants visa)
The problems are we cant apply for settlement visa yet due to her age (*under 21)
My wife has just returned from the uk after a two month vacation. (6 months visit visa was granted and is still valid up to april.
Ok ill stop babbling on and ask the question which visitor visa should i try and apply for now?
1. General One year visit visa
2. Family Visit Visa, (none of her family is in the UK, BUT my family is, which is now her family,
FAMILY VISIT VISA for 2 years, as if for any reason its refused we can appeal against it
QUestion 3, in September can the visitor visa be changed to a settlement visa? (I understand she would have to do all the tests etc and thats not a problem.) no not under any circumstances
I don't have issues with Money, Place to stay etc.
I can also show to the ECO the following.
1. Letter form my company saying I am being sent back for some various contracts in the uk for the next 1 year, (splitting my time between UK and Asia) and that my wife will travel with me sometimes coming back to Brunei of I will be away for more than a month
My wife has had 2, 6 month visit visa's approved in the past and always left the UK with no problems
It would be great if someone could point out which visit visa is best (or most likely to be granted) and also if during the visa when she is 21 we can change it to a settlement visa. (we are thinking to move to the UK permanantely) getting a new job etc, obviously i wont be stating this on the visa forms yet.
