I agree with Joe completely, as I had experienced it myself when my husband & I wanted my both parents to come to the UK few months before I gave birth in Sept 2009!...We didn't know that we shouldn't have mentioned that I was heavily pregnant and that they were gonna come to give me a hand!...to cut it short, they were refused to enter the UK!!Originally Posted by joebloggs

no to the domestic worker, as you needed to have employed them for a year..
go for a family visit visa, only good for upto 6 months of a year, and dont mention child minding...
....in the end I had to try my best to do it all alone, as my husband had to go back to work in Africa after 2 weeks of being at home with us!...I managed in the end
