I know Doc Alan’s laptop is under warrantee.
My son bought one from Carphphone Warehouse, under a credit agreement, the hard drive failed at around 3 weeks; they would not exchange it for another, said they would send it to the manufacture.
It took 3 weeks before it came back, it is ok for now.
