Luckily all the children are safe and due to have free education all the way up to college.

Intresting story telling you a lot about the phillpines.

How the media were first to the scene and had to start the negoiations with the hostage taker as the police were slow to arrive.

The police helped the guy get his message over to the media even supplying the crowd who came later to support the hostage taker with his protest with candles.

Watched it all unfold out here as that morning my Wifes best friend texted to say a post from a macdonalds had fallen onto her lolos house and that it would be on the news. Only for the biggest news story in weeks to occur the same day so they missed out on there 15 mintues of fame.

It was all a setup, he's done it before with 'toy' grenades.

Police standing a foot away from the coach waving at the children, kids having a party in the coach, other cops sitting around on their bonnets unarmed facing the coach?? DUH!!

Kids weren't worried, parents the following day supported him, police were not really that interested in charging him, the major easily agreed to his terms......
