    FLR Granted!!!

Just spent a productive afternoon at the Cardiff office with the Mrs, applying for the FLR....and it was no problem!! Just make sure you have all the relevant documents, marriage certs, payslips, etc etc and its a formality....we just now have to wait to receive the Biometric Residence Permit in the next 7 days...

Thanks to all you guys and the posts on this subject....a mine of information!!

Cheers, we are celebrating with a Guiness...

Hi...Mahal and myself are heading to get the FLR in the next month or so....could you just go through the documents you provided......also when you go to the office do you make payment there and then or do you have to make payment before?.....and finally when you make your appointment....do you just turn up with the app form and all the relevant docs and payment of course.....im just trying to get it all clear before applying......thx.

thankyou everyone for all y0ur greetings ..
@ ALSMITH - we booked the application online, and when ur sorted, u have to print the appointment booking..the documents we provided were -english language test certificate; marriage certificate; 3 previous payslips and bank statements; building society book [if any] decree absolute [ if divorced ]; 2 passport pic for the applicant and 1 for the partner; you and your partners passports; completed application form; and the appointment booking ..
u have to arrive 30 minutes prior to your appointment..
before they let us in we were asked to show them the appointment booking .
and when your inside you just go w the flow, a UKBA staff will tell you what to do, such as, payment ..
    i hope this helps ..

you've already done the hard work getting your fiancee visa, as long as your partner is working, he has some savings and don't send over drawn bank statements you shouldn't have any problems getting FLR .

have you passed the English language test ?
