Mobile and SMS rates are poor landline rate is pretty good.
Skype is 3.5p per text, 14p ish per minute to mobiles, Smart Plug n talk device is 1 peso for text and about 7peso a minute to call mobiles, about 10p.
Some other services allow calls to mobiles for as low as 9p a minute.
5p a minute to a landline is good.
If its a family connection and you talk for 1 hour a week at 5p thats 840 piso another 2£ would give you at least a dongle internet in the Phils for a month and free video calls on skype
