applying for settlement visa with 3mnth bank statements

Is there anyone that has applied with 3months bank statements and their visa was granted? plz help

Hi Malawi

I am not 100% sure but I tend to think that 6 months bank statements is a guideline rather than a hard and fast rule. It is really for the Entry Clearance Officer (ECO) to decide if you can support yourselves WITHOUT RECOURSE TO PUBLIC FUNDS and in making that decision he/she will take everything you have submitted into account including HOW MUCH MONEY you have in your bank account e.g. having 3 months statements showing regular income and a healthy balance would, in my opinion, be far better than showing 6 months of statements with no income and an overdraft!
