Visaya Language Lessons, Courses, or even just a Dictionary ?

Roughly half of the Philippine Population speaks Visaya, and I want to learn it, but in over a year of searching I've not been able to find any Lessons or Courses, and only ONE Dictionary supplied on CD available via On-Line Purchase. (And it is pretty useless).

Does anyone know of any Visay Language Courses (or good books, dictionaries, or phrase books) available in the UK ?

this is a mormon pdf its probably the best your going to find

In my veiw there are two possible ways to learn Cebuano (I say Cebuano because it is the most commonly understood dielect of visayan).

The first is to go and live in a province for a couple of years and learn inductively like kids learn

The second is to find a very good English teacher on line ,who is Cebuano, and have them draw up lesson plans using the rules of English gramar to explain the rules of visayan/ cebuano gramar this should cost you no more than $50 us dollars for 5x 90minuits classes a week

there are varying form of Visayan dialects, its according to place they are popularly spoken. In davao we are speaking Visayan, some words are similar with the Cebu "cebuano". Best to learn it in conversational way

    Thanks Folks
Sorry I didn't reply sooner, but I've been burried in problems at home.

I think the responses help to Illuminate just how Racist the UK Gov' is.
Many people have told me the Best Way to learn a language is to go and live there ! (This has been the Universal Way to learn any language since Mankind started speaking).
BUT, good old HMG says .... "People wanting to live in the UK must learn English, and Pass a Test, BEFORE we will grant them permission to enter the UK !"

THANK GOD the Philippine Government (or as far as I know, ANY OTHER GOV' IN THE WORLD), doesn't INSIST that we must learn their language and PASS a Test, BEFORE we can enter their country !!!

    Hi Bornatbirth,

    I'ma FAKE !
My "Dr" title is only a NICKNAME given to me by my Fiancee !
I'm a Qualified First Aider, but that's the limit of my Medical Training,
and I'm a Chartered Engineer, but don't have a Doctorate.

Your signature line translates into my most frequently uttered statement (in Visaya) ..... SIGE !!! (For a Peaceful Life)
