ILR Application Date

Good Day Everybody,

I need some advice for the right time in applying for my ILR.

FLR Visa Issued in UK : 12-08-2009
Visa Expiry : 21-07-2011

Please,if could someone tell me when is the right time I could apply for the ILR.

Which ILR will you be applying under? eg: form SET(M), form SET(F), SET(O) etc

Have you passed Life In UK Test yet? You will need to have a pass certificate before making application.

Thanks for the reponse.Yes,I did pass my Life in the UK Test already and I am applying for SET(M).

Normally the FLR for spouse would be 27 months to expiry.
Normally the qualifying period is 24 months.
Normally you can apply 28 days befor the end of the qualifying period.

Are the date syou quoted correct

Hi,

Just checking if we are doing everything correctly regarding the ILR?

My wife entered the UK on 12th May 2009 so it is almost 2 years since she arrived.

I believe we can apply no earlier than 28 days before her 2 years are up to take the "Life In The UK Test".

Do we start completing the SET(M) form and send off by post as soon as she passes the "Life In The UK Test"?

Is there anything else we need to be aware of?

but earilest she can apply is the 14th april and the latest a few days b4 her visa expires...

when does her visa expires ?? 24 month or 27 month visa ??

need letters etc addressed to you both,read the gudience notes..

She can apply for Life in UK Test anytime during FLR period. Sooner is better than later. She can apply for ILR 28 days before the end of the FLR qualifying period of 24 months in UK.
Better to start reviewing the ILR form and guidance notes now, just to give enough time to get all your papers together etc.

but mrsharks wife doesnt have FLR terpe, shes on a settlement visa, but it makes little difference , so any time btw 14th april and say up to the 27th of July
