    Recent Visit Visa Events

My wife wants to have her sister visit us here in UK this year.
We've been through it all before with her other sisiter, but recent happenings reported on the forum have now got us worried.

I'm concerned that even with the visa approval, she may be refused permission to leave the Phils by immigration. Could be any number of reasons, but 'sufficient' money appears to be the main one.

Do you think that a family visit visa would be treated any differently to a tourist visa?
Should we send money for her to bring through immigration?
Do we need to provide some documentation notarised by Phil Embassy?

I just don't want that she goes to all the trouble to obtain her passport, then get the visa then the tickets, then get so excited about her UK holiday, only to be turned away at the last minute.

    Help!!

Everything should be fine if you take note of the comments made on the thread where Magnus' g/f was refused exit from the Phil's. When her visa is issued, It's important for your sister in law to have all copies of letters and documentation with her when she goes to NAIA, especially a copy of your sponsor letter stating that you are responsible for her upkeep while she is in the UK.

It seems to have happened a few times even on our forum.
Anyway, I really don't feel that I want to take an unknown risk with that much money
(ticket). I can be very tight, but not quite tight enough to prevent wifey and her spoon

My other half has recently exited the Phil's on a Tourist Visa to Brunei, she never had any problems at NAIA despite the fact that her return ticket was dated two weeks after the expiry of her visa She didn't have a huge amount of cash with her, but she did take all of the documents she used to obtain her Visa as well as a copy of her sponsor letter.
