My wife used her passport in her maiden name for I.D. for the Hopkins TOEIC test. And used her maiden name for her Spouse visa application.

But best, maybe, to give Hopkins a call. I phoned them on several occasions from the UK and found them very helpful.

My wife says she thinks that other "valid ID" was also acceptable. Unfortunately she cant remember what exactly is acceptable alternatively.

    Hi sir!

If you're wife is planning to take TOEIC in our office, she can already use her new surname given that she'll be using any valid I.D. (passport, driver's license, sss, tin - using her maiden name) plus just present the marriage certificate as well.

Hi Can anyone advise me on the booklet I can buy to take with me to Philly in October, I clicked on link and there were quite a few English test books. What one should I purchase?

    See link http://www.cambridge.org/gb/elt/cata...e_locale=en_GB

    Many thanks John

IELTS is not that hard. The most difficult part will be the communication/interview section.

Don't think about the target grade, just take it and hope for the best.

First step, take a look at the UKBA list of approved English Language Tests here

Scroll down to page 14 (TOEIC)

Look to the column on the far right and click on the link:-
"For TOEIC in the rest of the world:-
    http://www.ets.org/toei

Look to the right hand side and click the link that says Find your local TOEIC representative

Use the drop down menus to select your location (Philippines) and product (TOEIC)

    There you will see Hopkins.
Just follow their website to see their test centre locations

    Click the above link.
Along the top of the page is a tab called Test Centres
    Try that.

Or are you looking for some other specific Test?

Yes Dann youve got to take an English Test from an approved english test provider by the UKBA as that is one of the main requirement of the app. Have a look on this link for the test providers http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/si...lish-tests.pdf and I advise you to browse more threads about English Test in the forum. That'll give you idea when to take it.

You can take any of the two. Both tests are recognised by UKBA.

hi there, I'm planning to take the english test in a few months. I checked the IELTS page I'm just wondering if its the Academic i should take and if the general training literally means training before the test? How do I apply for the test, should it be by call or i should fill up the application form i saw on the page and submit it?
sorry for a lot of questions.. lol

Will wait for the response.. thanks everyone
