Yes it will be, I'm 43 and my youngest is only 3, so I reckon I will be supporting my kids until I'm 60 at least. As long as I can retire at 60, then spend 6 months of the year here and 6 months in the tropics I'll be happy. No question of me going before then, even If I could afford to I won't be away from my kids for any more than 2 or 3 weeks at a time. They need me around and I want to be around for them. My kids are the greatest responsibility I'll ever have, and I want to be the best dad that I can for them.

and your right to do that, i was a single dad to my 3 daughters, i comitted my self to them as they grew up,my main most precious things in my life, i could not have brought in a new mum, unless id found someone special, but was impossible to please all three lol,

Yes, some things have to come before your own love and happiness. It's great if you can find a partner who get's on well with your kids, but if not you have to make difficult decisions. It's still early days for me, I don't have to worry about that yet.
